We collect information to be able to process your online payment, and to secure your booking on

Your Contact Info, your first name, last name, email address, phone number, and anyone who you would like to help you with your planning is collected at the point of checkout / booking. Your contact info gets submitted using state-of-the-art security technology (for details see below). Our contracted third party credit card processors and payment gateway service (Authorize.Net) receives required information and processes it for payment purposes only.

Your Credit Card Details, used to make your payment for your accommodation, event, camping fee, or merchandise, is collected by our online payment gateway service (Authorize.Net) using their secure connection.

Your Arrival and Departure Dates, and any other information that aids us in providing our services and accommodation in a timely manner.

What we do with your information

We may use your personal information for analytic purposes to improve our business procedures. Besides processing your booking, fulfilling your booking and accommodating you at our premises, we communicate with you regarding your stay and event by phone, email, text message, postal mail, or other means of communication. This includes but is not limited to sending you confirmation emails and status updates. We may also send you special offers, or use your information and booking habits to improve our services, provide discounted package deals with our affiliates. You always have the option of opting out by stating so in writing.

We may share information about you if necessary, in our good faith judgment, to comply with laws or regulations or in response to a valid subpoena, order, or government request, or to protect the rights of Camp Olowalu, its affiliates, or others.

We do not share contact information to Direct Marketing Agencies, or any other third party with similar purpose.

In the unlikely event of a sale or merger of Camp Olowalu, our customers’ personal information and other information we have collected as described in this policy may be among the transferred business assets.

How cookies are used

Our website uses “cookies,” which are small data files that are stored on your computer when you visit a website. Cookies enable you to book online on our website and may be used in a variety of ways to enhance or personalize your online browsing and shopping experience.

For example, we may use cookies to enable you to use certain website features, remember the categories in your booking, store your preferences, recognize you when you return to our website, track your booking, and monitor and maintain information about your use of our website. Is your kid’s privacy protected?

Camp Olowalu is concerned about the privacy and safety of children when they use the Internet. We will never knowingly request personally identifiable information online from anyone under the age of 13 without prior verifiable parental consent. Our websites are general audience sites and are not targeted to or intended for use by children.

Is my personal information secure?

We do our best to provide you with a safe and convenient online booking experience. Certain physical, electronic, contractual, and managerial safeguards are in place to protect the security and privacy of your personal information.

When you enter your personal information on our websites, we use state-of-the art security certificates. All our certificates do follow the X.509 standards and will support all protocols eg TLS v1.2, TLS v1.1, TLS v1.0, SSL v3.0 and SSL v2.0 to protect your information as it is transmitted to us. To make sure you are accessing our secure server before you submit personal financial information, look at the lower left-hand corner of your browser. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending upon your browser), then SSL is active. To double-check for security, look at the URL or Location line of your browser. If you have accessed a secure server, the first characters of the address in that line should change from “http” to “https.”

What about “phishing”?

“Phishing” is a scam designed to steal your personal information. If you receive an email that looks like it is from us asking you for your personal information, do not respond. We will never request your password, user name, credit card information or other personal information through email.

Though, our booking engine uses our email address to confirm your booking. While some email apps, e.g. Gmail will detect the fact that this email was not sent from our email server, it is actually legit and comes from us. Please double check that Camp Olowalu appears in the copy of the email body and only in confirmations or cancellations of bookings. No other communication gets submitted this way and can be deemed a scam.

For your convenience and information, our website may contain links to other sites, which may have privacy policies that differ from our own. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked site. We recommend that you review the privacy policy of any site that you access through our sites.

Links to other sites includes affiliates, which provide entertainment and activities for your stay on Maui. While we can vouch for their excellent quality in providing you with their services, we are not responsible for the outcome of such entertainment and activity booked through a link on our website.
