Where are you located?
Camp Olowalu’s is an oceanfront property, off of HI-30 on Maui’s Westside. Approximately 10 minutes south you’ll find Lahaina Town, Ka’anapali and Kapalua beach resorts.

What are the times for check-in and check-out?
Check-in time for all locations is after 2 PM.
Check-out time is before 10 AM.
Can I check in after the office closes?
Yes, upon arriving, go to the check-in window and follow the posted instructions for KIOSK check-in. Bring your ID’s to the check-in window the following morning.
May I request a site?
Yes, we always try to accommodate site requests. However, they are not guaranteed.

Do You Take Walk-ins?
Yes, as long as we have availability.
There is a KIOSK at the check-in window that allows you to register and pay via credit card at any time.
May We Rent A Single Cabin?
No, sorry, our A-frame cabins are for groups and include all 6 cabins, bathrooms, common area, kitchen and mess hall.
What do I need to bring besides my normal camping gear?
- Reef Safe Sunscreen: Commercial sunscreen is detrimental to our fragile reef. If you find benzophenone-2 or BP-2 in the ingredients, DO NOT use for water activities: snorkeling, swimming, etc. Instead, use eco-friendly sunscreen, or even better, use protective clothing (rash guards, etc.)
- Footwear: We recommend a pair of protective footwear and “island style slippas” (flip flops).
If you want to visit any of our National Parks, bring your U.S. Park Pass. (National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass) See Trip Advisors – Nature and Parks in Maui – (we do not require U.S. Park Pass)
What Is Potable Water?
It is drinking water.
Do you offer military discount?
Yes. We offer 10% discount at the check-in to active duty, veterans and retirees of United States Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, US Police and US Fire personnel, upon presenting a valid military/police/fire ID. The discount is applied as follows: per person for Tent and Car Camping, per Tentalow and No Cabins discount . Please contact our office if you have any questions.
